Originating as a non-objective painting, "Color Composition 4 - Resurrection" assumed its own unintended meaning and title upon completion. A limited palette of three colors mixed plus black, the colors of lent and rebirth, the symbolic cross, the cast shadow, and center-emanated light create its spiritual intensity.
